Carl Osborne

In Memory of CARL OSBORNE
Dec. 1949 to May 2014

He served our county as a dedicated Marine during the Vietnam conflict. Retired from the U.S. Postal Service. An active member of Feather River Lapidary and Mineral Society, Inc., from its inception in 2008. Former vice-president 2010 thru 2013.

Carl enjoyed helping people whenever he could. He had a passion for salmon fishing on the Sacramento River with his buddies. His love of rocks led him to the Feather River Lapidary & Mineral Society, where he gave his knowledge freely to all the members within the club.  He was the show chair’s right-hand man in producing the club’s annual show.

He spent most of his mornings having breakfast with friends at either Morning Thunder or Bidwell Perk. Evening dinners were spent at the Cozy Diner or the Calico Kitchen.

He is survived by his son Lance, and two sisters, Gloria and Shirley.

ALL HIS FRIENDS WILL MISS HIM TERRIBLY.
